Grandma and Grandpa 2024 — My family’s personal archive of life in the 1950s-1960s filmed through the eyes of my Grandma and Grandpa. You can tell when my Grandma Margret had the camera — you’ll see flowers and family vs. when my Grandpa Jack had the camera — you’ll see automobiles, boats, and aviation. The score was one of their favorites, Smoke Gets In Your Eyes by The Platters 1959.

Installation one — Archival loop projected on cloth
Installation two— Live feedback projection on furniture, cloth, and decor.
UCF Experimental exhibit and screening (March 2024 @ UCF downtown campus) “Life of the Party” — an immersive experience which allows the viewer to walk inside a tent with no projector in sight — the installation is rear projected roughly 10ft away from the tent. With color-changing lights on the two outside corners.
Inside: two chairs, two pairs of headphones, and loose party decor.
As the film progresses, the quality of film deteriorates, such as the fragility of the psyche throughout a party. Working with super 8, hi8, digital, and cameraless filmmaking, this party begins to live and breathe. In a post. The sound design uses audio from parties attended over the course of years.
